Project Based Learning Workshop by Dr. Rajesh Nair – June 24 & 5, 2022
Christwood doesn’t believe in the ‘one size fits all’ policy and thus conducts custom designed workshops on myriad topics in line with the assessment on the needs of the school teachers. In view of this, a two- day training was done on understanding Project Based Learning which was facilitated by Prof. Rajesh Nair, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, to design, implement, assess and improve projects.
Thinking out of the box, removing mind filters, removing constraints that are considered socially unacceptable are some ways to design projects for classes. The teachers also learnt that by deferring judgement, encouraging wild ideas, building on ideas of others you can ideate projects. The teachers in groups also created a 4-page story book for toddlers thereby putting into practise what they had learnt from the training.
