Senior Sports Festival – August 13, 2022
The Senior Sports festival at Christwood on August 13, 2022 was a celebration of sorts. The break of 2 years, made the entire School community devour it, with passion and gratitude, giving the very best, to make the day a memorable one.
A clear sky and a sleek green ground – Christwood had a perfect setting for the start of the Sporting events. Heart of India Parade, Olympic torch, Oath taking, colourful drills, events for Parents and the thrillers of course, marathon, 100 m dash, relay, ending with championship and solemn closing ceremony.
What made the event very special was the presence of the guest of honour, Mr. Walter I Davaram IPS (R), Former Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu. Christwood will cherish for long the grace of his presence and his words of wisdom for the young. Also was present the senior sports veteran Dr. J.P. Sukumar, Former Registrar – Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University. His sound advice on the significance of physical fitness was apt for the audience.
Christwood Sports extravaganza, resounding and echoing excitement and cheer was also a learning experience- display skill, abide by rule, play fair, and work together to achieve the goal.
Trophies and Medals have been won. However, wins and losses stood equal as there’s always a chance to be stronger next time!
